In September 2022, I had the privilege of participating in a two-week type design workshop led by Lucas de Groot, the renowned creator of typefaces such as Calibri and Consolas. During this intensive course, I designed a typeface named Sfika, which translates to "wasp" in Greek—a fitting name for its sleek, slender, and sharp forms.This workshop was an invaluable opportunity to solidify my existing knowledge, enhance my work efficiency, and refine my ability to evaluate and prioritize key design tasks. These skills have since allowed me to approach projects with greater precision and execute them more effectively.The Sfika typeface reflects the lessons learned and the meticulous attention to detail fostered during this unique educational experience.
